Trainer1 groundbreaking approach to reselling authoring tools
Trainer1 has become the UK's first e-learning specialist to become
'Vendor Neutral', supplying products from several competing
manufacturers.
A key part of implementing this strategy has been Trainer1's increasing
its portfolio of authoring tools, having signing a partnership
agreement with SumTotal Systems to offer the ToolBook e-learning
authoring tool in the UK.
Not only has Trainer1 signed a re-seller agreement with SumTotal
Systems to distribute Toolbook in the UK but SumTotal Systems has
appointed Trainer1 as a Toolbook 'Authorised Training Centre'. In
addition, Trainer1 will be opening a European User Forum for Toolbook
users as well as providing 'first line' technical support for UK users
of SumTotal Systems' products.
Neil Lasher of Trainer1 commented: "Becoming vendor neutral has been a
planned move for some time but it has not been easy to organise as
manufacturers normally require a reseller to supply only their product.
However, Trainer1 has made this groundbreaking move to ensure that our
clients get the best possible product to meet their needs, with
opportunities for a fair comparison between the various options
available on the market.
"We will continue to expand our vendor neutral portfolio strategy over
the next few months. There are already more agreements in the pipeline
along the lines of the agreement that Trainer1 has now signed with
SumTotal Systems."
