Jump Start range expands
Organisations that are apprehensive about investing heavily in e-learning because they are unsure how to get the maximum benefit from the investment can take their first tentative steps with hand-held help from Trainer1, the independent e-learning specialist and creator of sophisticated courseware for learning.
Trainer1 is expanding its highly successful version of ‘Jump Start’, a programme that can supply both the tools and on-site training and coaching sessions to enable users to make the most of their investment in e-learning. While the programme is always entirely bespoke and relates to a ‘real live’ project, ‘Jump Start’ offers various options, based around a fixed, seven day programme of consultancy and training.
‘Jump Start’ options include supplying one, some or all of:
-
Training and consultancy
-
Relevant authoring tools
-
A learning management system
-
Knowledge management software
-
A workflow learning delivery system
-
Recent ‘Jump Start’ customers include Radiometer Denmark, Agfa in Germany, Kraft Foods, Westinghouse Rail Systems and Baker Tilly, as well as numerous organisations in the USA.
According to Neil Lasher, Trainer1’s managing director and one of the UK’s leading ‘e-learning architects’: “We have been pleasantly surprised by the increasing demand for Jump Start – principally from organisations that are apprehensive about committing large amounts of resources to what is, for them, an unproved technology.
“With Jump Start, we conduct a planning day for customers on-site before embarking on the training and coaching. Some six weeks after the authoring tools have been delivered and the training completed, we return to identify any ‘training gaps’ and lead some remedial training.
“We even provide on-going enterprise development support,” he said. “This is included in the price for ‘Jump Start’.”
