At the EMEA Totara User Conference – scheduled for Glaziers Hall in London on 15th and 16th May – Mark Edmonds, of the e-learning supplier Engage in Learning, will explain how organisations can fully automate their training programmes.
Mark Edmonds is running one of several workshops scheduled for the second day of the event, which is given over to a series of interactive sessions run by Totara partners. According to Edmonds, “Whether it be compliance training, on-boarding or management development, you can use the core functionality of Totara Learn to achieve hands-free automation of enrolling the right learners on the right courses at the right time.”
He added, “At Engage in Learning, we’re finding that Totara’s open source products are flexible and applicable to organisations with formal and informal learning needs, both within the workplace and the extended enterprise.
“Organisations buying software, such as an LMS, tell us that they now need the flexibility to extend and integrate as part of an open innovation value chain,” continued Edmonds. “That’s why, with its many configuration options, APIs and open access to source code, open technology – such as that offered by Totara – can empower a solution provider to meet a specific need, within a desired timeframe.”
The Totara User Conference brings together the Totara Community from a wide variety of organisations and sectors to collaborate and learn from each other’s experiences.
A Totara spokesperson said, “The event isn’t limited to current users of the Totara platform. It’s designed for any learning professional looking for flexible learning solutions.
“Delegates learn from other organisations that are using Totara open technology products in fresh, engaging ways, and sharing practical advice. There’ll also be time for networking – allowing delegates to get to know other learning professionals with shared interests.
“We find that the format of one day of conferencing and the second day of workshops is a great way to keep people engaged.”
Edmonds’ workshop on automating training programmes takes place from 15.30 to 17.00 on 16th May. For further details of the Totara User Conference, visit: https://www.totaralearning.com/events/emea-totara-user-conference-2019
