Docebo, makers of the Cloud-based, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), e-learning platform, will be showcasing its best-in-class e-learning solutions at this year’s HR Summit and Expo 2014. This event is scheduled to take place at the Sheikh Maktoum Hall in the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre from October 20 to 22.
Docebo will be exhibiting on stand E29 at this year’s event, which regularly attracts over 2,700 HR professionals from the Middle East and beyond. Among other things, Docebo will be demonstrating the latest update to its learning management system (LMS): Docebo 6.4, with Enterprise enhancements.
Named, in June this year, as the sixth best LMS in the world out of 600 by independent market analyst, Craig Weiss, the Docebo LMS was rated third in the world for business-to-business use, in July. Being a Cloud-based SaaS, rather than either an open source or a legacy system, Docebo’s LMS allows for unlimited numbers of registered users – although customers only pay for the active users during any billing period.
Docebo’s e-learning platform is currently used by over 750 organizations around the world. Many of these client organizations are large, global companies which use the Docebo LMS to co-ordinate the learning of many thousands of learners belonging to different cultures and living in different time zones.
Social learning functionality and gamification – to facilitate new ways of enhancing users’ engagement in learning – figure prominently among the LMS’s capabilities. According to Josh Squires, the Chief Operating Officer of Docebo EMEA, the idea behind gamification is that, if you can help your employees to enjoy what they do, you should reap rewards in terms of employee motivation and productivity.
Recently, Docebo also introduced new features to the LMS including a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) integration app, allowing users to import an LDAP user base into the Docebo LMS and keep them synchronized, and a Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) integration app, allowing users to use AD FS to ‘single sign-on’ between their Active Directory and the Docebo LMS. Both LDAP and SAML increase opportunities for integration and data exchange with other enterprise systems in a more secure way than has previously been possible.
“The Docebo LMS connects people to knowledge, knowledge to people and people-to-people,” said Docebo’s CEO, Claudio Erba. “Its technology helps remove the barriers to humanizing workplace learning.
“Customers tell us that Docebo LMS is the definitive solution to manage an organization’s entire training process – from designing and planning to deploying all forms of elearning, Web-based training (WBT), Instructor-led training (ILT), blended, social and game-based training, mobile learning and even face-to-face courses.”
