Docebo, the disruptive Cloud E-Learning solutions provider that is revolutionizing the online training market with its Software as a Service Learning Management System (LMS), will be unveiling the latest version – Docebo LMS version 6.3 – at this year’s ASTD Conference and Exhibition.
Taking place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington DC, in the USA, from May 4 to 7, ASTD 2014 comprises both an exhibition (Docebo is to be found at Booth #1424) and a conference. At this conference, Docebo’s CEO and Founder, Claudio Erba, will be speaking about ‘Humanizing Business Processes: Technologies, Trends & Insights to Succeed in the Next Decade’.
Claudio Erba’s presentation takes place on Sunday, May 4, from 3.45pm to 5pm in ‘Location 152A’. It deals with leveraging new technologies, such as Cloud, in the field of Human Resources training and development.
“In today’s fast global paced environment, people have to be well-equipped with the appropriate set of knowledge and skills,” said Claudio. “I believe it’s time to humanize business processes in what I call the era of the NetWorkedForce – in other words, developing a thriving ecosystem of employees working from locations other than a central office. This means investing in appropriate technologies and tools to create and sustain this corporate culture shift – especially when it comes to encouraging social collaboration across geographical and cultural boundaries within an organization.”
Docebo’s new version of its LMS facilitates these new ways of engagement. For example, Docebo 6.3 offers users a Gamification App and a Blog App. Other new product features enhance Web-based Training (WBT), Instructor-led Training (ILT) and Blended Learning.
Intended to improve the quantity and quality of social learning – with the benefit of resulting higher levels of worker engagement – Docebo 6.3 provides a blog platform within the LMS. This allows users to have their blog inside the platform, offering the opportunity to create a discussion inside a course based on blog posts – and users can rate posts and comments.
An innovation with Docebo 6.3 is a Gamification badge system. Administrators can create badges – or awards – that learners can win for achieving things inside the LMS, and earning these badges creates a ranking for each user.
“This sort of competition/ reward – amplified by user-driven experiences through the blog posts and comments – helps make learning engaging, increases knowledge retention, and hence, application,” said Alessio Artuffo, Docebo’s Chief Operating Officer in North America. “The Docebo LMS connects people to knowledge, knowledge to people and people-to-people. Its easily applied technology helps remove the barriers to humanizing workplace learning.”
