News has emerged from the e-learning solutions provider and distributor, Omniplex, that Blatant Media Corporation, whose products Omniplex distributes, has appointed Richard Nantel, the former CEO of Brandon Hall Group, to be its Vice President, Enterprise Learning Solutions. Nantel is now responsible for the growth and development of enterprise client opportunities and strategic partnerships for Blatant Media and its flagship products, Absorb LMS and SmartLab.
Nantel has over 25 years of experience in the learning technology, talent management and performance improvement sectors. For the last 11 years, he has worked for Brandon Hall Group, initially as an analyst and technologist but, latterly – since 2007 – as CEO. He is an acknowledged expert in LMS technology and has authored many reports and online knowledge bases about LMS selection.
“As a learning industry analyst, I’ve attended a lot of LMS product briefings and have seen a lot of systems. Absorb LMS has always stood out for its powerful features and ease-of-use,” said Nantel.
Omniplex’s managing director, Matthew Lloyd, commented: “When someone of such high standing within the learning technologies industry as Richard Nantel decides that one LMS stands head and shoulders above all others, it’s worth taking notice!
“For Richard, joining Blatant is a strong vote of confidence in what is an award-winning LMS. Absorb was named in TrainingIndustry.com’s 2011 list of the Top 20 Learning Portal Companies (for the second consecutive year), as well as being awarded Gold and Silver awards from Brandon Hall for ‘Best Advance in Learning Management Technology for Global Training’ and ‘Best Advance in Learning Management Technology for External Training’.”
Comment: Matthew Lloyd has a point. When someone who has spent time analysing a particular market decides to champion and promote one of the products in that market, it should indicate that that product has a great deal to offer. Buyers of LMSs might like to take note.
