In a boost for the UK’s manufacturing sector, Silver Fox, the Hertfordshire-based manufacturer of labelling solutions, has revealed that it has recently received some significant overseas orders.

These include:

  • A large engineering and fabrication yard has placed an order for Silver Fox’s heat shrink labels, for use in a large project for a leading Saudi oil producing company.
  • Silver Fox’s Endurance pipeline identification tape has been used for a new oil platform being built at a number of yards throughout Europe for a leading US-based oil exploration company as part of a North Sea Platform project
  • Silver Fox has also supplied a number of stainless steel labels for a large project which is taking place in the Caspian region.

Nick Michaelson, CEO of Silver Fox, said: “These projects together have resulted in several hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of exports. In these challenging economic times, it’s good to see that the UK’s manufacturing sector can compete extremely successfully with suppliers in the global marketplace.

“Increasingly, the ability to supply high quality products to the worldwide market swiftly, efficiently and effectively is going to mark out the winners in the 21st century economy,” he added.

“Having won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise – International Trade, in 2005, Silver Fox has been continuing to invest in developing its international sales. We are fortunate to have a growing number of distributors around the world, now covering all of the world’s continents except Antarctica.

“Wherever an engineer is in the world s/he has access to Silver Fox labelling solutions,” Nick said. “Equally importantly, Silver Fox can now provide technical help, advice and back-up to anyone, anywhere with the minimum of delay – enabling all our customers to turn ‘time into profit’.”
